As a Somerset based business I recently joined in with the Somerset day celebrations. Celebrating all the amazing independent businesses and the county beauty spots. There are many.
I’d never really visited Somerset before I moved here twenty years ago. Like many, I had driven through it on my way to Cornwall. The Welcome to Somerset signs just meant we were far from home and much nearer to our ultimate destination.

Well, you have missed so much. The beautiful Somerset levels, Cheddar Gorge part of the Mendip hills an area of outstanding beauty. Clevedon pier on the north Somerset coast has just been voted pier of the year and rightly so it is a gem of a pier and of course, we have the beautiful City of Wells nestled at the foot of the Mendips with views to Glastonbury and the Tor.
That is just scratching the surface.
I mentioned the Somerset levels. Eyres Jewellery supports A community Interest project that is based on the Somerset levels.

They were featured on The One Show on recently The piece can be seen 21.59 minutes into the program.
The amazing wildlife footage they film is streamed into healthcare settings where people with life-limiting conditions are being treated. Making their time in treatment less stressful and a far more pleasant experience, It hass long been recognised that access to and animals brings our stress levels down.
Before owning and managing Eyres Jewellery I worked for over twenty years as a nurse. When I met SJ who is one of the co-founders of Wildstream TV and first heard of this amazing project I knew I wanted to offer support.
As Eyres Jewellery has so many animal themed pieces I decided to donate £1 from every animal-themed piece of jewellery or giftware to Wildstream TV. Do watch the Clip from the program it is a lovely piece and explains their work better than I do!
